My name is Megan and I'm the Creator behind the lens!
A little about me... Obviously, I LOOOVE photography! Here's my why: There is not a single frame that I regret capturing. Each one brings me back to that exact moment in time and the feelings and smells and emotions that went with it. An image has the ability to transport you and that's why I do this, not only for my family, but for yours too!
I'm a 30 something life loving Mama and Wife! My husband and I traveled as much as possible before having our two little ladies and they're most definitely my reason for adoring family and children's portraiture. Time is truly a thief, and I whole heartedly believe that photography grants us a magical window into the past and the ability to remember simple moments that otherwise might have been forgotten.
With every session, I encourage the "now". Let those real moments happen, let the kids play ring around the rosy, let your partner twirl you, let this be the family day where you say yes to everything and let go of the expectations, the rules and keeping the outfits perfectly clean! Embrace the belly laughs and the cuddles and genuinely laugh at the ridiculously silly prompts I lead you through, let the session carry us where it may. I promise I'll aim to bring comfort, warmth and ease so that we can capture your family at its core!

FAQ
What should I expect after sending my inquiry?
After you submit your inquiry, I will be in contact with you within 48 hours. We'll discuss location, desired date range and I'll send a questionnaire to get to know you better! Then you'll receive and invoice and contract to secure our date! Sessions are not secure until your retainer fee is paid.
When's the best time to schedule my Newborn Session?
It is best to schedule your Newborn session within the first 14 days after delivery. Please let me know when your babe has arrived as soon as possible. In home and Studio sessions are best done in the morning to early afternoon hours to provide the best indoor lighting.
Why do Outdoor Sessions take place 1 hour prior to sunset?
This is my favorite type of outdoor lighting to work with! Commonly called the "Golden Hour". This light provides a golden glow and soft shadows for our session.
Can I extend the session on the day of?
Sessions will be scheduled for 1 hour, however I may determine that more or less time is needed while we are on location. Should you want to add extended family to your session or want to have multiple outfit changes, this will require advance notice, time and an additional cost. Please let me know as soon as possible if you will be requesting additional time so we may plan accordingly.
How far will you travel?
I'm located in Phoenixville, PA and have a travel radius of 20 miles! No worries if you live outside that radius or would like photos at a further location, I'm here and happy to discuss these details! Traveling fees do apply beyond the 20 miles radius at a rate of $1/mile. (ex: Location is LBI, 77 miles from 19460, 77-20=57 =$57 travel fee)
Do I have to order prints through you?
Nope! I do recommend printing from a quality photo lab though and request that no editing beyond mild cropping be applied to the images. (Editing images is a breach of contract) In the email containing your completed gallery, I will list several printing companies that are reputable as well as some that are not!
When's the best time to schedule my Maternity Session?
The best time to schedule your maternity session is between weeks 28-32. We can certainly schedule before, especially if you are expecting twins, or after that time frame! These weeks are typically the ones you feel your best in.
When should I scheduled my child's Milestone Session?
This depends on the purpose of the session. If you simply want updated photos of your children, the date range is flexible. However, if you are scheduling these for a special event (baby turning 6 months, first birthday, graduation...) these need to be scheduled no later than 3 weeks prior to the event to provide enough time for editing and delivery.
How should we dress for our Family Session?
I know selecting outfits for the family can be stressful, so once your date is reserved and contract signed, I will send a Wardrobe Guide with helpful tips. My number one piece of advice is: Mom is the star! Decide on Moms outfit first and go with coordinating outfits from there. Keep prints dainty and minimal. Textures like knits and corduroy add dimension. Stay away from logos, pin stripes, small gingham, big prints and matching outfits. Matching is adorable for a night out but for photos we need to let everyone's individual personality shine!

How many pictures will we receive? When will I receive them and May I have the RAW Images?
The amount of photos you receive depends on the package you select. Edited photos are delivered through a downloadable online gallery that you'll receive full print rights to for personal use only (announcements, cards, social media sharing,..). Images are delivered in full resolution AND web size JPEG. I do not ever release unedited photos or CR.3 (RAW) images. Firstly, unedited images do not properly represent my work. Secondly, unless you have the software editing programs, you will not be able to open RAW images. The completed gallery will be sent approximately 3 weeks after your session.
Do you shoot Weddings?
I do not, but I am certainly able to point you in the direction of some very talented friends!
What kind of gear do you use?
I keep my gear minimal so I am able to move agilely. I will be carrying my Canon R5's along with two to three of my favorite lenses.
